Who is eligible to apply for financial aid?
  • Any South Indian college-bound student who demonstrates above average grades
    and low socioeconomic status.

How do students apply?
  • Advertisements will be placed in South Indian newspapers during July or August
indicating distribution of financial aid and where to pick up applications.
  • Interested students will fill out and return the application along with official
    school transcripts.
  • Students whose applications meet our criteria will be called in for interviews.

How do we verify information regarding a student's socioeconomic status and grades?
  • We visit student homes to ensure that their living situation and lifestyle coincides
with that of a family in economic distress.
  • We also contact and speak with school officials to make sure students are
    ranked well in their classes.

How do we verify that a student does not use donations for purposes other than for
education?
  • The student will not directly receive any of the donations.
  • All donations will be directly sent to the schools.

Is there a limit as to how many years a student can receive this aid?
  • The student will receive the aid for as many years as required to finish their
    course-work or degree.
  • This ensures that the student will be able to achieve their complete education.
  • However, the student will have to maintain the required grades and show proof
of this by presenting us with updated school transcripts every year.
